CAT-specific instructional program that pays
you while you train to become a journeyman
technician.
The program alternates between lab and
lecture course work at the college, and paid,
hands-on training at your CAT dealer
sponsor, allowing you to practice what you
have learned.
Learn and work with many types of CAT
heavy-duty equipment and engines for the
agricultural, forestry, construction and industrial markets.
By the end of the two-year program, you
will have earned an Associate of Science
Degree from Portland Community College,
and one-year’s worth of experience towards
your journeyman status at your sponsoring
Caterpillar dealer.
